Šenkýř Motorsport will start the three-hour race at the Nürburgring

The Šenkýř Motorsport team of Richard Gonda - Tomáš Erdélyi - Robert Šenkýř will appear on 01.06. 2024 at the start of the 3h Classic Rennen, a three-hour race within the famous 24-hour race on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. Under a special Permit C permit and under the banner of the cooperating German PROsport Classic team, we will be driving a magnificent Volvo 240i Turbo (1986).

Although this is a race for classic oldtimers and youngtimers, it won't be just any drive through the North Loop track. "We're not going on a road trip. With 210 cars at the start and 200,000 spectators in the stands, it's going to be an all-out race," says team boss Robert Šenkýř.

The whole team is already looking forward to the days ahead as they return to a familiar track, but this time with a unique line-up. "All three of us are instructors on the Nordschleife, and I've done 24-hour races here before, but now we're going as a team and we're really looking forward to this race."

By taking part in the race, the team boss is essentially extending his recent 50th birthday celebration, for which he gifted himself a 1989 Ferrari Testarossa in a similar vein. "It will be a unique race, a unique track, friendship and another celebration of our birthday together," concludes the team boss.
